What are the kiditec® building blocks and construction materials made from?
Is the plastic toxic?
kiditec® is not at all toxic. All kiditec® components are made from high-grade ABS plastic, the sort used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
From what age is kiditec® recommended?
Children can begin to enjoy kiditec® from 3+, because the sets include small swallowable parts. There is no upper age limit for this system, and the more experienced the player the more complex the 3-dimensional structures.
Where is kiditec® made?
All kiditec® parts are made exclusively in Switzerland ("Swiss Made") so you can be sure of a consistently high quality.
Is this product only suitable for smaller children?
The new building functions of kiditec® open up countless possibilities for children of all ages. Thanks to the screw fixing system, even adults will enjoy creating sturdy, three-dimensional structures.
Is kiditec® suitable for girls, too?
Yes. Girls enjoy playing with this product. They love making animals, furniture and dolls’ houses. A doll’s house is an example of the unique play value of kiditec®. Even without a base plate, the screw fixings ensure incomparable stability. The individual use of self-made panels shows the flexibility of the system and its compatibility with external elements. The house can grow with the child’s imagination and developing skills.
Which set would you recommend for a 3 ½-year-old girl?
We recommend the starter set mini. Seven different models can be built with this set. The modules interlock. No screws are used yet. This means that even a very young child can make technically simple, interesting structures. Later, it can be combined with sets for older children. This guarantees that the system can grow with your child. Once you have bought a set you can add to it by buying additional accessories, e.g. screws and nuts, so the system is expanded rather than replaced. In this way, we ensure that the product has a long life. We will attach great importance to this feature in any future developments of the system.
How big is the kiditec® range?
The first kiditec® range comprises five starter sets and eight supplementary sets. kiditec® is an expandable system and you can use individual elements over and over again. You begin with a starter set and add to it over time. This innovative system is always growing with lots of new play ideas and additional modules.
